Here at Tenancy Support Services, we recognize a growing need within our country for a more reasonable and fair playing field, in regards to the power that Landlords and Tenancy Agents currently have, over all tenants of New Zealand.

We aim to provide a service, whereby prospective tenants can search for Landlords and Tenancy Agents by name in any given town or city of New Zealand, allowing them to rate their Landlords/Tenancy Agents on the service they received, and thereby provide more information to prospective tenants, on how these Landlords/Tenancy Agents have conducted themselves in the past. In doing so, we praise good Landlords and Tenancy Agents, encouraging them to keep up the good work, and possibly, by being highly rated on our site, they will receive more tenants, while at the same time, providing a warning of bad Landlords and Tenancy Agents, so that tenants can avoid these people, and spend their rent, and bond, on a place that will actually live up to the promises made.

We believe that if every tenant in New Zealand, refuses to sign up to a tenancy agreement, without first using our site, then within a few years, bad Landlords/Tenancy Agents will be a thing of the past, as they will not be able to find anybody willing to rent through them.

But we need your help, we need you to actively rate any unlisted Landlords/Tenancy Agents, and if these people are already in our system, we need you to keep up the good work by adding your own rating of currently rated Landlords/Tenancy Agents, so that we can get good solid feedback over a fair timeframe. We believe that if there is just one rating of a person, then it is unfair, but if there are many that agree with each other, then our members can get a reasonable understanding of how these people really work. Obviously, we have systems in place, to make sure that the person supplying the rating, is not only acting legally, but also fairly, by only being able to supply a rating to a Landlord or Tenancy Agent, who's services they have used, and only being able to supply one rating per Landlord or Tenancy Agent.

Landlords and Tenancy Agents that receive a good rating, will then be able to advertise their rentals, on our site, so that our site becomes advantageous for them also.

But we must post a warning to those Landlords and Tenancy Agents that refuse to sign our disclosure form in order to avoid a bad rating, and continue to basically commit fraud upon tenants, IF we are unable to provide a rating for a Landlord or Tenancy Agent, because they refuse to sign ( good Landlords/Tenancy Agents that acted fairly, but didnt sign to try to maintain their own privacy, we understand, and wont list)

But for those that behaved badly, we promise to search for you on the Ministry of Justice website, and openly publish any/all court proceedings against you, that are published for public scrutiny, on our site, for all members to see, and read. Not signing our forms, will not save you, from being mentioned on our site. Nor will it save you from the open scrutiny of our members, and their unwillingness to rent from badly behaving Landlords and Tenancy Agents.
